Case 01 · Concept redesign

Organic Nail & Spa

A clearer path from choosing a service to booking a chair.

The problem

The original homepage had no navigation or booking button on the first screen. Visitors had to work to find basic information and take the next step.

What I found

Booking links sat several screens down, while prices were embedded in flyer images. The salon’s services were there, but the route from browsing to booking was hard to follow.

What I did

Designed a citrus-led identity, brought booking and visit details into the first screen, and rebuilt prices as a readable, categorized menu. This remains an independent concept.

Case 02 · Projection mapping

Lightbender

Show the experience. Make the next step clear.

The problem

Projection mapping is experienced in motion. The website needs to communicate the work as well as explain the service.

What I found

The work spans events, film, installations, and architecture. Visitors need to see that range and quickly understand who is behind it.

What I did

Built a video-led portfolio with a browsable work reel, focused service positioning, and a direct project inquiry path.

Case 03 · Music & artist identity

Caitlin Byk

An artist’s world, with the music one click away.

The problem

An artist website has to express a point of view while giving listeners an easy way to find the music.

What I found

Artist imagery, current releases, streaming links, and the biography all need a clear place in the page.

What I did

Brought the artist’s photography and signature into the hero, with release-focused listening actions, an artist introduction, and contact links.

Case 04 · Consulting & coaching

Impact Lab

Different services. A more understandable path in.

The problem

A consulting business serving both organizations and individuals needs to help each visitor find the right starting point.

What I found

Fractional leadership, development, and coaching are distinct offers. Founder credibility and a visible introduction call help connect them.

What I did

Organized the service offering, highlighted the founder, and connected the page to clear service and introductory-session actions.

Case 05 · Event styling & luxury picnics

A Picnic In The Garden

Set the scene. Start planning the celebration.

The problem

An event styling business needs to show the feeling of a celebration while helping visitors find the right service.

What I found

The offering extends beyond picnics to dinner parties, hotel surprises, balloons, bloom bars, and other custom celebrations across New York City.

What I did

Built a table-inspired website with a browsable service menu, event galleries, a personal introduction to Katia, and a guided date inquiry form.

What’s included, and what happens next?

Every build: search essentials (page titles, descriptions, sitemap and Search Console connection), basic text, hours and photo editing, domain connection, and a handoff. Structured menus, galleries and blogs have their own editors.

Built with California accessibility requirements in mind: Based in Los Angeles, I work with businesses nationwide. I use WCAG 2.2 AA as the accessibility target, with keyboard navigation, readable contrast, form labels and semantic structure, to support ADA and California Unruh Act obligations. A separate review provides documented testing; compliance depends on the finished site, content and third-party tools.

A clear scope: two consolidated design feedback rounds, your supplied copy and images unless those services are selected, and 30 days of post-launch bug support. New features and ongoing edits are quoted separately.

No commitment to inquire: send your notes or ask for a free introductory call. We’ll agree on pages, deliverables, timing and ongoing costs before you pay a deposit. Privacy policies and terms are tailored to your business and region; attorney review is separate.

Notes ready! Review them in the form below, then send your inquiry.

    How it works

Three steps. One person, start to finish.

    1. 01

      Audit

I dig into your current site and find what’s costing you.

      • Booking buried three taps deep
      • Prices trapped in a photo or PDF
      • Slow to load on a phone
      • Missing or wrong on Google Maps
    2. 02

      Design

Custom design around your brand. No templates, no borrowed identity.

      • Built from your photos, colors and voice
      • You see every page before it’s built
      • Feedback rounds built into the schedule
    3. 03

      Build

A fast, clean site, ready for real customers.

      • Works on every phone, tablet and screen
      • Search essentials ready at launch
      • Built with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility practices
      • Easy for you to update after launch

    How payment works

    1. 50%Deposit to book your spotDue when we sign. It reserves your dates and starts the audit.
    2. 50%Balance at launchDue when the site is approved and live. Ongoing provider fees are separate.
    3. $0Surprise feesA fixed price in writing before any work starts. Bigger projects can split into three payments.

    The person behind the design

A seat at the table. A clear way forward.

I’m Ryan Hall, a web designer and developer in Los Angeles. I find what’s getting between your business and your next customer, then design and build a website that clears the way. From the first audit to the finished build, you work directly with me.

I create custom web designs and develop responsive websites for small businesses, salons, restaurants, artists, and professionals. Explore the project planner for services, starter kits, and clear price ranges.

Before websites, I worked in commercial photography and production for brands like Vogue, VICE and Reebok. I still design like a photographer: light, framing, and what the eye lands on first.
